Yes, running can be hard, but the support and
encouragement you'll find with Sole to Soul makes every training run a victory. And this is a wonderful time o begin
running -- or to get back to it -- with a goal that's both admirable and achievable.
In other words: YOU
CAN DO IT!
It can be scary to start. It can be even scarier to start over. But with
Sole to Soul, you'll find kindred spirits who will help and guide you. Here's what you need:
1. The desire to do this. I promise you will be SO PROUD of yourself. It's an incredible feeling
to do something like this.
2. A commitment to training. Each week, you'll complete two mid-week runs, one
30-minute crosstraining (walking/biking/zumba/whatever) and our Saturday long runs. It's completely doable -- especially
with the support of the group. We meet somewhere new each Saturday, so you'll see a lot of San Diego, too. So fun!
3. Patience with yourself. If you're not a runner, or if you're returning to running,
we'll start you off with run/walk intervals. It's a great way to train safely and effectively. Make sure you bring a
watch or something to help you keep the time as you go.
4. Support. We all know how hard this is --
and you'll never need to feel like you're best isn't enough. You keep going; we'll all be there to cheer you on!
