We offer support if you're just starting out or
an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time
to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're

In 2007, I allowed myself to become inspired.
After watching my amazing niece, Jacque, run a marathon, I decided
to sign up for the Rock n Roll Half -- something that I never thought I would ever really be able to do.
in 2008, I did, with Jacque by my side (at least for the pictures at the end!).
You can complete a half, too, and
Sole to Soul can help you. On July 4, we're starting a new training cycle for the San Diego Celebration Half, which will be
held on November 1. Start with us now, and you'll have the time you need to safely and happily train to complete the
run -- whether it's your first Half or if you're an experienced runner. Here's what you need:
desire to do this. I promise you will be SO PROUD of yourself. It's an incredible feeling to do something like
2. A commitment to training. Each week, you'll complete two mid-week runs, one 30-minute crosstraining
(walking/biking/zumba/whatever) and our Saturday long runs. It's completely doable -- especially with the support of
the group. We meet somewhere new each Saturday, so you'll see a lot of San Diego, too. So fun!
with yourself. If you're not a runner, or if you're returning to running, we'll start you off with run/walk intervals.
It's a great way to train safely and effectively. Make sure you bring a watch or something to help you keep the time
as you go.
4. Support. We all know how hard this is -- and you'll never need to feel like you're best
isn't enough. You keep going; we'll all be there to cheer you on!
The best way to stay up-to-date is

Let yourself be inspired. The Celebration Half will be my 43rd half marathon, so you never know where this will lead!
Hope to see you... JM
Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to
train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first
started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.
Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe
that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another
can do this, too; please email me with questions!
