Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!

Our Facebook page is your best source for up-to-date training and race information!

I'm not a certified coach or physician -- just someone who knows that running with wonderful people makes for a wonderful life.  Please see About Us for important information about my coaching skills (or lack thereof).

Here's the thing:  It may start with the sole, but it changes the soul!

We'd love for you to join us on our Saturday morning and race day adventures. See our Training Schedule each week for our meeting place and mileage.

Sole to Soul to SOLstice

We are so excited to be holding our very first Half-Marathon -- it's going to be so amazing...and very different.

I've been thinking about how this Half really embodies all our group is about and why it's going to be so special.

First, it's about the accomplishment.  13.1 miles is a long way no matter how you run it, and we will complete every step and cherish what the (incredibly cool) medal symbolizes.  We did it!

But we will do it the Sole to Soul way, with our primary goal of fun and support.  Time won't matter. Joy and personal victory will.  It's $30, and you can order an event shirt separately, if you want one.  You can even choose a partner and run this as a relay! Here is a bit of what you can expect:

Run a mile.  Stop at an aid station for a raffle ticket, snack and some fun activity.  Complete the activity, and get extra tickets.

  • Repeat 12 more times! Take pictures along the way for a chance at extra prizes.  Cheer each other on as you pass on the course.
  • Get to the end.  Get your medal (did I mention how cool it is?).  Stick around to give medals to the rest of the finishers and get your raffle tickets ready.  We'll have clothing, free entries to other local races and other great prizes.
  • You can also find a friend and run the course as a relay.  Split the distance however you'd like.  You'll both get a medals.  Each person should register separately -- then just let me know who your partner is.

All of this on Dec. 21 (the SOLstice, of course).

We are SO GRATEFUL to Road Runner Sports for helping us -- providing a start/finish and, most importantly, the community support to help us make this happen.

AND to those other races donating entries and everyone who is contriburing prizes, please know that we are very grateful.

There are only 50 spots, so sign up today to be a part of the fun or let me know if you want to volunteer.

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.

You can do this, too; please email me with questions!
