Reaching New Heights

Okay. I admit it: I like hills! And we do a lot of hill training.
Last weekend, it all
The San Francisco Nike runners flew over the hills. It was so amazing and so fun.
on the other hand, might not have seemed so fun. The hills were huge. Brutal. Constant.
But what did
you all do? You CONQUERED. As I hear the stories, there are some common themes:
1. You all were
there to support each other. It is our greatest strength as a group and one of the (many) reasons that I love you all
2. You actually had fun. Okay, not every minute. But you did.
3. You felt
amazing about accomplishing such a tough challenge. Running (hills) with Val this morning, my heart was filled with
joy listening to her talk about how she felt about accomplishing this feat. You all need to know how amazing you are.
So, this week on Oct. 26, I give you the gift of a nice flat route. But on Nov. 2, when we gather for another run
(and our post-race awards), we'll be back to the hills.
Because we can.

Where It All Begins

To be honest, I wasn't sure I could do it. But I did!!!!
And you can, too.
On Sept. 14, we'll start a new training cycle for the Carlsbad Half or Tinker
Bell Half (January 19). You can start that week, and be ready to cross the finish line. And there's still plenty
of time to start for the Holiday Half on December 29.
If you have any doubts about this, spend a week with Sole
to Soul. You'll learn that you have the support you need to succeed. You'll discover that you have more strength
than you thought. You'll do things you never that you could.
And you'll smile when you cross the finish line.
