Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking
group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!
We offer support if you're just starting out or
an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time
to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're

No Gloom This June
May was a pretty remarkable month for Sole to Soul.
Tue, May 28, 2013 | link
We had such an amazing training day on May 9 with celebration
finishes for everyone; Carol completed another Tri; Drew PR'd at the Safari and Michaela and Mikayla PR'd in Portland; Cecil
learned the joy of being at peace with her pace and became an official Solemate; we celebrated Ruth's first half; we
welcomed amazing new members; and we walked and ran and cheered together. Every week gave us new reasons to love our
Personally, I thought that my PR in Portland would be the highlight of what had already been a pretty incredible
I was wrong.
Last Saturday, I was surprised by this amazing card and massage gift from the group.
You all touched my heart; I'm so honored to be with you every week, and I love you all so much.
I want to thank
you all. I get back so much more than I could ever give. You are all the best.
This next month, you'll
hear the words "June Gloom" many times, but it will never be present on Saturday mornings. No matter what
the weather, Sole to Soul will meet, and that will make every Saturday a beautiful day.

Jumping for Joy
Sometimes people ask me why Sole to Soul is different.
Thu, May 9, 2013 | link
This picture shows why!
Last week at our training
run, our own sweet Carol planned a special surprise. She had treats and a "finish line" ready for everyone
as they completed their training, whether we walked 3 miles or, like Raquel and Val here, ran 10. As you can see, Solemates
stayed to cheer on our finishers. It was amazing.
But not unique. In fact, EVERY week is a demonstration
of the support you get with Sole to Soul -- no matter your speed or your distance. We care about one another.
Now, as some of you consider your next race (you can start NOW and be ready for AFC -- just sayin'), think about these two
Raquel is a founding member of Sole to Soul. I've been running with her for years, and she is
so unwaveringly positive. Be careful, though, one run with her and you'll be signed up for all sorts of races! My favorite
finish line pictures are always with Raquel.
Val came to us after seeing us profiled on news. Every week, she does
things she never thought she could do (she's perfected Raquel's patented "jump shot" for photographers) and she'll
inspire you with every step.
Raquel and Val were not runners before, but they are now. And they're spectacular.
Come join and see what we're all about. You'll not only walk or run, you may just find yourself jumping for
Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to
train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first
started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.
Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe
that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another
can do this, too; please email me with questions!
