Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!

Our Facebook page is your best source for up-to-date training and race information!

I'm not a certified coach or physician -- just someone who knows that running with wonderful people makes for a wonderful life.  Please see About Us for important information about my coaching skills (or lack thereof).

Here's the thing:  It may start with the sole, but it changes the soul!

We'd love for you to join us on our Saturday morning and race day adventures. See our Training Schedule each week for our meeting place and mileage.

So Much Fun Ahead
Over the next few weeks, we're going on some wonderful runs (click on Training Schedule) and celebrating lots of new successes.

I am so excited to have so many new runners and walkers join us, and I invite you to spread the word about our group and the wonderful adventures we have every week.

You know that this group is completely free; it's truly a labor of love for me!

That's why I hope you'll indulge me in this one yearly request.

If it's at all possible, I invite you and youre family and friends to join my team to support Rady Children's Hospital in the Shamu & You Family Walk.  It's Oct. 6 -- it's so fun -- and it supports the children, families and incredible research at the Hospital.   Learn more at www.shamuanyouwalk.org/onecrazygrandma.

Thank you, Solemates -- participating in this Walk is another thing we do that's good for the sole.  And the soul!

Something Amazing is Happening...
...truly amazing and wonderful!

On our last two Saturdays, I've met new people on our morning runs.  These are incredible men and women who have HEARD about Sole to Soul and are now running and walking with us.

I love that the word is spreading:  This is a group that will support your efforts no matter what your ability or aspirations.  And as I talk to some of our new Solemates, they all seem to realize that this group is special.

We WANT you to succeed -- whatever that means to you.  And we VALUE whatever it is that is!

So supportive.  So inspiration.  So much fun.

Let's keep spreading the word.  The more soles on the route, the more our souls will be enriched.   See you all Saturday!

Past. Present. Future.

One of our incredible Solemates, Anna, saved an email that I wrote after I completed my first half-marathon in June 2008.  I wrote:

Dear Wonderful Supporters:

I DID IT!!!!  Amazing, but true -- I finished the Rock and Roll Half Marathon still standing and still smiling.

Most of you know that I hurt a tendon in my ankle two weeks before the race.  The thought of not running -- and letting you all down -- was almost too much to bear.  So -- I rested and did everything I was supposed to and kept believing in myself the way you believed in me.  It was such a triumph to cross that finish line!!

Please know that you too can do anything you set your mind to.  We can conquer all challenges "one step at a time; one mile at a time."  Maybe you'll even join me next year :->

Hmmm...  Sounds kind of familiar!  I guess, after four years and 14 additional half-marathons (and one full one), that we can all do it with help and support of one another.  That's what Sole to Soul is really all about. And why I'll be so happy to see you all on Saturday.

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.

You can do this, too; please email me with questions!
