Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!

Our Facebook page is your best source for up-to-date training and race information!

I'm not a certified coach or physician -- just someone who knows that running with wonderful people makes for a wonderful life.  Please see About Us for important information about my coaching skills (or lack thereof).

Here's the thing:  It may start with the sole, but it changes the soul!

We'd love for you to join us on our Saturday morning and race day adventures. See our Training Schedule each week for our meeting place and mileage.

A Celebration Saturday!

This Saturday, March 31, will be an amazing run that will begin with an amazing celebration.

Whether you have been running with us for awhile or coming for the first time, we'll begin with a motivation burst of inspiration as we honor our four members who completed their first half on March 11.

Then, we'll welcome new runners with several wonderful shorter routes and challenge our La Jolla and Rock n Roll runners with some fun and scenic loops around Balboa Park.

Meet at the Kate Sessions statue early and be ready for our "awards ceremony" right at 7 -- then we're off!!!  See our Training tab for more details.

I'm so excited to see you all; you inspire me every day!  JM

SO PROUD!
Congratulations to our members who ran their first half on March 11 at the San Diego Half-Marathon at Petco Park:  Kelly, Lindsay, Lisa and Kathy!  Way to go, girls.  You were brilliant.

My idea of running even though I had a migraine?  Not so brilliant -- but you all inspired me so, especially Drew at Mile 10 and Nicole at the finish line.  It really is mind over matter, even when the mind is an unhappy camper.

We'll have a special celebration for all our new Halfers at our training on March 31.

This next weekend is a bit different.  Training mileage is 8 for La Jolla and 6 for Rock n Roll.  I'm joining Raquel and many of our Solemates in walking on Saturday to support our Autism Discovery Institute at Rady Children's.  You can register at  http://nfar.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=995648&lis=0&kntae995648=40FC829BC4B34AB6B0CF45456FB3BC86&team=4941195&tlteam=0

On Sunday, many of us are participating in the Hot Chocolate 5K or 15K.  If it's feasible, please join us for a great race experience.  http://www.hotchocolate15k.com/sandiego/raceinfo/

If you can't participate, I totally understand; please try to get your mileage in over the weekend, and we'll all be together again (for free!) on March 31 at Balboa Park.   See you all soon!

Big Accomplishments in Store
We have such a nice route planned for March 10 with something for everyone.

Then, on March 11, many of our members will run the brand-new San Diego Half, starting and ending at Petco Park.

In fact, Kelly, Kathy, Lindsay and Lisa will complete their first half ever!

It's going to be amazing.  These wonderful women will all do something that day that they never thought they could.  But they will.

You can, too.  Please join our group to walk or run and learn what YOU can do.  We'll be there for you, every step of the way!

I'm not running on the 10th so I'll be ready for the 11th, but I will be there walking -- and maybe even joining first-time runners a few easy intervals.  I hope to see you all there!

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.

You can do this, too; please email me with questions!
