Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!

Yes! You CAN complete a half marathon!

In December at the Las Vegas Half and in January at the Carlsbad and Tinker Bell Halves, we had Sole to Soul runners complete their first half marathons.

And we had Solemates complete their second, third, sixth, eleventh and more (and everything in between).

That's important because they wanted to do it again!!!

We provide a supportive group to come run with -- or learn to run with -- and a fun way to start a Saturday morning.

Please come start your training this Saturday, Feb. 4 (see Training Schedule for details).  If you're just starting, take at least two 3-mile walks this week, and try to add a minute or two of jogging for each five minutes you walk.  You'll be surprised at how much you can do!

Setting Goals for 2012!

Getting into shape. Making exercise something you look forward to. Completing a half-marathon.

Possible in 2012?  Yes!

I never thought I could do these things and, yet, I look forward to getting up early every Saturday morning to be with some of the best people I've ever met -- wonderful men and women at every fitness level who have a dream of accomplishing something special this year. 

Together, we can do it!

Soon, I'll have training schedules ready for those of you who are runners now -- or who aim to complete a half-marathon this year (you can do the San Diego Rock n Roll in June, even if you're taking your first run today!). 

Start today by adding a minute or two of light jogging for every two-three minutes you walk.  Repeat this cycle a few times.  Next time, add a little distance and a couple extra minutes of jogging.  Then, come join us on Saturday mornings.  Don't worry if the distance seems too far -- I'll provide shorter routes for you.

Let's have a great 2012 together.  It's a goal we can all achieve!

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.
