Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!  

Our Facebook page is your best source for up-to-date training and race information!  


I'm not a certified coach or physician -- just someone who knows that running with wonderful people makes for a wonderful life.  Please see About Us for important information about my coaching skills (or lack thereof).  

Here's the thing:  It may start with the sole, but it changes the soul!

The Most Amazing Runners Ever!

Yesterday's training was filled with many gifts:

We had Martha, Irene and Lisa join us for the first time -- and everyone did so great. How fun to see people on the first step of their journey!

When I finished my part of the runner, I was touched to see how how many people waited (see our new photo on Facebook).  This is really what Sole to Soul is all about, helping and encouraging each other succeed.

I loved our pre-dawn run with some of our Vegas runners, and my heart fills when I think how close Val is to her first Half! 

I love all the boys (okay, men) that our running with us:  Steve, Chris and Wayne (and baby Evan, too).  We are all ages, all different in many ways, but we share a common goal, and it's wonderful!

Thank you all for being a part.  You have my love, admiration and support always.  See you all next Saturday!

Yes! You, too, can complete a half-marathon!
On Oct. 29, we'll start a brand-new training cycle, designed for anyone who would like to get started (or re-start) and be ready to complete a half-marathon in 2012. 

Begin with us now, and you'll be ready -- as a runner or walker -- for the new San Diego Half-Marathon in March -- or Hollywood or La Jolla in April -- or Safari Park in May.

It's an amazing feeling to have accomplished this goal, although I warn you that you could become addicted!

Right now, you can start jogging a minute or two for every few minutes you walk.  Or think about walking, but increasing your mileage.  We will be there for you -- at any pace.

You'll love the medals, but you'll love the way you feel about yourself for earning them even more.    Love to you all!  JM

Our runners and walkers are doing GREAT!

We had a little bit of a break with our backdown week on Oct. 1, but we're starting to learn just how much our training is paying off.

Please do not fear the longer mileage; our goal is to find a pace that let's you finish strong and proud.

If you're thinking about signing up for 2012 run, a complete new training cycle will start on Oct. 29.  Don't wait, though, we're ready to give you amazing support now.

And speaking of support, thank you for all of yours -- for both the weekend I was home when my grandson was borh (he's coming home from the NICU this week!!!) and for joining me for the Shamu & You Family Walk to support Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. You are all true Solemates!

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.
