Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!

We offer support if you're just starting out or an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're perfect!

I'm not a certified coach or physician -- just someone who knows that running with wonderful people makes for a wonderful life.  Please see About Us for important information about my coaching skills (or lack thereof).  

Here's the thing:  It may start with the sole, but it changes the soul!

Today, Sole to Soul Running was beautifully represented in the AFC Half-Marathon. Everyone did GREAT, and we send special love to Andrea, Gina and Jayme for completing their first Half.

I believe that at least two of these fabulous runners didn't believe they could do this when they first started this journey.


You, too, can accomplish more than you ever through possible.  This week is a great time to start -- just by adding a little bit of light jogging to your walk, then by joining us on the 27th for our new training cycle.  There are LOTS of events to sign up for (registering for something ensures you train for it!!!) and LOTS of support every step of the way.

Please help me spread the word about this special and unique training group. It will be good for your sole -- and your soul!  JM

I'm back from two weeks of camping and backpacking -- and ready to run!  With the AFC Half-Marathon coming soon, we're finishing up this training cycle and getting ready to start fresh with all our wonderful and inspiring Solemates.

In Tuolumne, my niece and I ran 8-mile and 5-mile training runs -- no easy feat at 8,600 feet -- and, added to the hiking and backpacking, I'm hoping my increased lung power will compensate for my lack of regular training!

I'm so excited that we'll be start a new cycle soon, and I'm hoping that we'll have lots of new runners ready to start their own running adventure. 

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for great runs to train for -- there are some new races coming up, and we can do them -- together -- step-by-step!

Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.

Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another adventure.
