Sole to Soul Running is a very special kind of running/walking
group. No matter what your fitness level, you'll find the support you need to accomplish goals you never thought were possible!
We offer support if you're just starting out or
an experienced runner or walker. It's a great time
to run -- or learn to run -- or walk. This group is for YOU; no matter what your pace or experience, we think you're

I'm so excited! I'm starting to get emails from people who saw our news story and would like to come run with us.

If you're new to Sole to Soul -- WELCOME. I think you'll find that our runners are wonderful and supportive
and so much fun.
Over the next few weeks, we'll be doing our final training runs for the AFC in August (although
everyone is welcome to join us, and we'll happily give you shorter mileage options for any route).
Then, I'm starting
a new training cycle on August 27 to help people train for the Silver Strand or Las Vegas Half. Not convinced you can
do a half-marathon? You can!!
If you're interested in joining us for the new cycle, the time to start is
now. Add a few minutes of light jogging for every few minutes you run. You'll be surprised at what you can do. Just let
me know if you need more information; I'll tailor the site for all of you. For now, check our Training Schedule and
feel free to join us any Saturday.

I've been thinking a lot about our interview with Channel 5 News. Troy Hirsch asked me how I felt about changing people's
lives. Truth is, I'm not doing anything -- YOU ARE. It is an honor -- and quite humbling -- that you invite me
to share in this journey.

I guess sometimes all we need is someone to believe in us.
Our Coronado run
yesterday was, again, so fun. I loved welcoming our new Solemates -- Marsha, Carmen and Samantha -- running and walking
with us for the first time. And I loved talking to people who were there from other groups; the runners seemed to want
to come hang with us because we're so much fun!
We'll start extra early next weekend (and on Sunday) to beat the
heat. See you all there!

Yesterday, our group had a fantastic fun through Balboa Park and downtown. It was great practice for the AFC (6th Ave hill?
We're not afraid of you!).

For me, the most fantastic part, though, was how we took care of each other, with Nicole
and Cynthia running together and Mary Beth and Peggie as a team, as well. We sure missed Ian, Kimberly!
our downtown runners -- Steve, Shellane, Andrea, Raquel, Anna and Elena -- all inspired each other, and we conquered the hill
in style (and, well, sweat, too!).
Those of you who are considering running with us should know that this
is what makes Sole to Soul unique. We WANT to succeed and improve, but never at the price of leaving someone behind.
I'm so proud of everyone, and I can't wait until our run on Saturday (July 9) in Coronado!
Many of our members joined Sole to Soul to
train for their first 1/2 marathon. Most of us never thought that running 13.1 miles was even possible when we first
started training but, together, we learned that we could do it.
Our running motto is "At Peace With My Pace." I believe
that with encouragement and support, you can cross the finish line -- still upright, smiling and ready to sign up for another
can do this, too; please email me with questions!
